When you are surfacing, and it asks for the bit diameter (you used 22mm), are you measuring the surfacing bit where it cuts? For exanple, in the video you use a 1" surfacing bit, but the number you input is 22mm (not 1 inch). Where are you getting the 22 mm from?

All that hard work to end up at 9:46 "we are not going to be making anything precise with this machine" has thrown the machines capability's down the toilet.

Like this , gives me design ideas. I think the gaps in the circular arrays are because you pulled the original shape from the array. Perhaps you could first make a copy of the original shape the make the array from the copy and leave it in the array. Hope you are having a great vacation!

At the end of the day these videos have been great! I have a chunk of elm burl i have had for 3 years now, and from the moment i saw it i knew i wanted to make a guitar body from it. I have a shapeoko so i am going to need to tinker with the cad side, but these videos have been a GREAT help! Thank you!

I would like to know if it is possible to manufacture wahoo boards with a Altmill. I would like to purchase one just for that purpose. Wahoo is a game board that originated in Germany. Milton Bradley marketed a game here in the states called Aggravation that was exactly like wa-hoo. My grandfather use to make homemade boards out of 3/4" plywood x 24" square. I have been making my own version with a 4 player game on one side. And a 6 player on the opposite side.

After waiting months with bated breath, and joining the forum, I stumble upon an ALTMILL video while at lunch in another town. So, have you shipped any?

As someone who helps run a makerspace, and needs to have a solution for multiple users to make stuff on our cnc router (without making them also buy or rent new software for themselves) the makerspace license for vcarve has been our best option. I was teaching folk how to use easel until their gcode output stopped playing nice with our mach3 / mach4 based (and basic features like vcarving, tool ramping and raster movements for pocketing were stuck behind the paywall). We briefly tried carbide3d, but right as we moved over, they went to v7 and made it impossible to use on our machines unless we brought a pro license. I just wish vcarve supported macs for the few members who have those, and that they didn't make the incredibly annoying changes that they did on 11.5/12 for how folk use a makerspace license. Its incredible how much better it is on the laser side. We got a 3 machine license with our co2 laser for lightburn, upgraded it to support our galvo, and spent $60 a year (if we want to) to get the latest update. No subs, no always online requirement, no license management or adding users to our org or email authentication. Lightburn was also demoing a CNC router capability at a reprap festival in the past year - maybe they'll show that off at LBX?

A quick question, on gcsender i clic over the play symbol botton on the top bar, but the spindle does not turn on, so I broke a small bit, what is the difference between the fore mentioned botton and tha greeen execute command in gcsender? thanks for sharing!

Not everyone uses shortcut keys, I find it much easier using the mouse to undo, redo, save, since my hand is already on the mouse

One question that has come to mind in my decision before I pull the trigger on VCarve is how often you've felt the need to upgrade to the "new version", which would again increase your initial cost of VCarve?

Do I need to order the AutoZero Touch Plate with the AltMill? I also want to order your AltMill with the spindle,vortex rotary axis and the laser beam. If I ordered by the end of the month, June 2024, what would be the expected delivery date?
